A Research On Integration, Utilization And Management Of Agriculture Information Resources On Internet

With the development of information technology and network technology, there is a great increase of agricultural information resources on the Internet. Thus, effectively integrating and making use of them has been an urgent research project. The present paper has a theoretical analysis of the process of integrating the agriculture network information resources. It then puts forward some countermeasures of the management systems and the technique against the insufficiencies during the utilization of the resources.The present paper is composed of six parts. The first part is an introduction, elaborating on the source of the problem, the purpose and significance of the research, major contents of the research, the present research status at home and abroad, and major research methods. The second part discusses some general theories of the integration and utilization of the network information resources, including the concepts of network information resources, the characteristics of network information resources, the development process of the integration and utilization of the network information resources, and the process analysis for the user-oriented integration and utilization of the network information resources. The third part involves the process of integrating agriculture network information resources, including the need analysis of the customer for agricultural information resources, the analysis of the collection of agricultural network information resources, and the classification of agricultural network information resources. The forth part mentions the utilization of agricultural network information resources, analyses the distribution of the resources from different sources at home and abroad through random sample on the Internet, summarizes the insufficiencies during the utilization of the domestic resources by browsing thousands of domestic websites of concern. The fifth part proposes a website to integrate agricultural network information resources—virtual agricultural library according to the theoretical analysis in the present paper and also explains in detail how to establish and manage the library. The six part includes corresponding countermeasures of improving the management systems and the technology for the construction of the domestic agricultural network information resources and research expectation. It gives the corresponding countermeasure to improve the management systems and the technology for the construction of the domestic agricultural network information resources based on the theoretical analysis and investigation.
