The village fair has been existed for a long time as a kind of phenomenon and activity of social and economic development. It exists in different regions of the world, which has been evolved with the social and economic development. And it may disappear or rise, or change into the town. China is one of the earlier countries which generate rural markets. The change of rural markets shows our social and economic development. In the moment, China's commodity economy increasingly advanced, can say has penetrated into every corner of the country and society. As a typical grassroots economic activities,Rural fairs not only have the economic nature of market , also have the social nature of rural society.. , Promote the rural economic activity, and integrate the rural society. But, as a kind of grassroots market, it still has some self-defects problems of the market. Therefore,research the role of government in rural fairs,which has important significance to explore the role of government in micro economic activity, and play the role of government in economic activities.This paper's research object is the rural markets that center on villages, which takes a village named Kong as a case. The author takes on-the-spot investigation as the foundation, maps out the function of rural fairs and the existing problems from the rural fair scale, commodity and participants, in order to explore the role of government in rural fair. .
