Many factors have been found to impact turnover intention. One possible reason is the social exchanges in the organization. There are two types of social exchanges have been studied in organization. Exchanges between an employee and employing organization are called perceived organizational support (POS). Exchanges between the employee and his or her leader (supervisor) are referred to as leader-member exchange (LMX). However, the issue of how the two types of social exchanges impact the turnover intention is indeterminate. This study examines the impacts of two types of social exchanges on followers'turnover intentions in Chinese corporations. Because the exchange between leader and member reflects the personal relation in China. Leader-member exchange could not describe this exchange exactly. So we present the differences between guanxi and relationship firstly, then the concept of supervisor–subordinate guanxi take the place of leader-member exchange. We also examine the moderating impact of pay satisfaction on the relationship between perceived organizational support and turnover intentions. Results from empirical study indicate that the perceived organizational support link the relationships of two dimensions of supervisor–subordinate guanxi with the followers'turnover intentions. And the pay satisfaction also moderate the relationship between perceived organizational support and turnover intentions.
