Research On Sustainable Development Of Rural Economy In Chongqing

Economic sustainable development in rural areas contains wealth of meanings: firstly, it is to have development, in order to meet the growing and changing human needs, rural economic must development gradually to improve people's living conditions and quality of life. Secondly, development should be sustainable, that is economic development in rural areas can not be sacrificed at the expense of future generations, especially human behavior which can not be leaving the destruction of natural resources and environment.Economic sustainable development in rural areas includes multiple objectives: economic sustainability,social sustainability and ecological sustainability and so on.Economic sustainability refers to gain higher and more stable economic benefits,self-sustaining and self-development in economics. Social sustainability is to maintain better social environment development of agricultural production, economic and ecological sustainable development in rural areas. Ecological sustainability depends on maintaining better agro-ecological environment and sustaining use of natural resources. The three goals of economic sustainable development in rural areas which form a complex system are relatively independent, mutual influence and interaction.Chongqing is China's youngest municipality which has a co-existence of big cities and large rural.The agricultural population in total population of Chongqing is more than two thirds. The rural market is an important part in the market economy of Chongqing. Problems in the development of the rural economy are related to social stability and unity and to expand domestic demand and promote rapid economic development.Based on the three objectives of economic sustainable development in rural areas, this paper analysises current status of the rural economy and sustainable development problems of Chongqing from the rural community, rural population, rural resources, rural environment.Research finds that the major factors of restricting the economic sustainable development in rural areas of Chongqing is less cultivated land resources, irrational industrial structure in rural areas, a large population, low quality of rural labor,rural aging,rural-urban income disparities, low levels of household consumption in rural areas,backward agricultural infrastructure, rural finance backward, imperfect rural market system,lagging industrial management of agriculture, rural environmental issues. Focus on these aspects,this article explores on how to take the characteristics of sustainable development in the rural economy of Chongqing and puts forward to policy recommendations.
