Study On Capacity Of Sustainability On Ecological-economics System Of Otog In Inner Mongolia Based On Theory Of Emergy

Emergy theory is established by US ecologist H.T.Odum.Its definition is: The quaritity of energy which containes in another kind of flowing or stored energy.This kind of flowing or stored energy means resource,product,labour,currency and reject,even humanbeing.All energy in ecology economic system comes from the solar energy,therefore,the quantity of solar energy which directly and indirectly needs by all kinds of energy is the solar emergy.All kinds of emergy in eco-economic system in Otog of Inner Mongolian was calculated by emergy theory in this article.The result shows that: the total amount of emergy of Otog was 2.86×10²²sej/a in 2007 , the per capita of emergy is 2.51×10¹⁷sej/m . Compared to GDP of 2007 , the emergy dollar radio was 1.97×10¹³sej/$ which means the emergy used to produce 1$ is 1.97×101¹³sej.The emergy dollar radio was high means the consumption of resources of economic development was large.The renewable resource is 17.06% in the total anoumt of emergy and the self-produced resource is 78.36%,meanwhile the self-produced unrenewable resource is 74.73%.Because the eco-economic system of Otog was based on mining,coking and electric was leading industries,economic growing relied mainly on unrenewable resource , and the level of development and consumption of resource was remarkable high.The problem and the reason can be find by analyzing many emergy index established in theory.By analysing the emergy investment ratio,net emergy yield ratio , emergy dollar ratio , envioronmental loading ratio and emergy-based sustainability index,it shows that: the eco-economic system of Otog is at the beginning,so it can be develop by itself,but it unindepdent to the outside and has little contribution to the outside.The ratio of self-produced emergy of Otog was large and this is relate to the coal mining and high-growth GDP.It's easy to know,the rapid development of eco-economic system of Otog is at the cost of excessive consumption of resources.The envioronmental loading ratio of system is high and the ability of sustainable development is poor.Analysis of time series change tendency of emergy index shows that , the sustainability of development is descending with the development of energy and heavy industry.The reason is that the system was based mainly on self-produced unrenewable resource and emergy contained in input resource and products is low.Besides,the using efficiency of emergy is low,especialy the emergy of intensivism used.So,the elementary approach to slove the current problem is raising the using efficiency of emergy,enlarge the extent of opening to the outside world and increase the input of high emergy resource,such as human resources,technology.
