The Process Continuous Improvement is a popular research area, and it has been widely used in quality management, while it is still new to be applied to Project Management. Currently the Project Management Methodology defined by PMI only focuses on single project management. Typically a company lifecycle is much longer than a project lifecycle, and the company may have multiple concurrent projects which can be leveraged in knowledge and resources. It is needed to develop a new method to implement multiple projects management in a company and make it possible to have continuous improvement to those projects. This paper analyzes the shortcomings for the current project management methods applied in company level, and proposes a project management maturity model, and then it deep dives in applying project management continuous improvement method in quality management, risk management, cost management, schedule management and human resource management. On this basis, the paper discusses in details about H company's IT project management practices, including its organization structure, project engagement model and project knowledge management, and then it introduces the IT project management continuous improvement methodology defined for H company with the contribution of the author, including DMAIC,SLIM and Project Assessment.DMAIC is the PDCA loop-based process improvement method, which consists of 5 stages: define, measure, analyze, improve and control. These stages form a cycle of improvement. SLIM is an integrated software life cycle management approach, defining the project management tools, processes and collaboration of project members. The approach includes 5 phases dominating a project lifecycle: business analysis, product design, technical design, coding and testing. DMAIC and SLIM together make a continuous improvement methodology of multiple projects management in H company, and with the definition of project assessment, it ensures the execution of this project management methodology. This continuous improvement methodology has already been applied in the entire H company. It significantly improves the productivity and quality of project management, and hence it is fully proved to be effective.
