Intensive land use is not only a key issue but a hot one in academic circles; it is also a difficult issue for those land resources administration departments at different levels. Given preferential policies formulated by the central government and its own regional comparative advantage, Zhuang Autonomous Region of Guangxi is now faced with great opportunities, such as the industry shift from developed areas and the expansion of the industrial scale. As land resources serve as the basis resources both for the establishment and for the development of industrial zones, it is of great necessity to figure out land uses in terms of levels of industrial zones, districts and types, which is not only conducive to improve land use level, but an objective demand to achieve a rational distribution of land elements in order to promote economic development. This study evaluated and compared intensive land uses in different Guangxi industrial zones with both empirical analysis method and quantitative analysis method, on the basis of which factors affecting land use level of this area were analyzed and then some corresponding measures were suggested. In the end, the author concluded: firstly, special policies should be made to improve the intensive land use level in this area because the land use level is low in general, since there are too many low level industrial zones and too few high level ones; secondly, focus should be put on improving proportion of industrial land, total plot ratio, industrial land plot ratio Industrial Product per land resource unit , which are the major factors affecting land use level; thirdly, the method of comparing standard values is of great significance to make clear the intensive land use levels and evaluate the trend of them in a scientific way.
