Research On Strategy Of Raw Material Suppliers Evaluation And Selection For PW Company

In current economic trend of globalization, enterprises are facing more and more challenge: shorter product life cycle and higher demand in response time; more variable in product's function or feature and more customized requirement; wider service scope and globalized marketing; JIT management and uncertainty in demand. In order to be more competitive, companies should well manage the supply chain. Among suppliers, raw material suppliers play important role in the whole supply chain.This article analyzed the process in developing supplier and the accessibility in establishing supplier database and evaluation system. Meanwhile, this thesis proposed the evaluation system for PW Company, which is combined with AHP and GRAP. Also, the thesis investigated the supplier management strategy and improvement in efficiency.In this thesis, supplier database has been found based on different categories. The application of evaluation system could help PW find right supplier in short time. Also, PW introduced the supplier management strategy, so as to manage supplier more efficiently. With a lot of projects developed with suppliers, PW could enhance the relationship with suppliers and get more benefit from the strategic alliance.
