In the era of knowledge economy, the effect of knowledge is extraordinary for knowledge-intensive enterprises, so knowledge transfer within the enterprise has important strategic significance. Promulgating and inheritance of knowledge, the vocabulary with oriental color in existing researches have not been widely mentioned in existing researches, and the explanation of its connotation and external derivative is not standard. But in fact, as an important enterprise knowledge activity, promulgating and inheritance of knowledge on the influence of knowledge transfer can not be ignored. Based on the above cognition, this paper conducted a systematic study and reflection to literature of promulgating and inheritance of knowledge and knowledge transfer, then gives a clear concept of promulgating and inheritance of knowledge, namely, the activities that tacit knowledge and explicit knowledge within the enterprise was promulgated through certain channels from the source of knowledge and inherited down by recipients of knowledge, which conducted normally will ensure gathered and retain of core competence of an enterprise, so the enterprise can achieve normal operation and development. On the basis of drawn on dichotomous about tacit knowledge and explicit knowledge, This paper divided promulgating and inheritance of knowledge into promulgating and inheritance of tacit knowledge and promulgating and inheritance of explicit knowledge, and analyzed its mechanism, then put forward conceptual framework and a series of assumptions, formed SEM default model, Designed measurement indicators about the characteristics of promulgating and inheritance of knowledge and the effect of knowledge transfer, finally modified and tested the default model by sample dates gathered through a combination of interviews and questionnaires. Specifically, the main innovative works of this paper lie in the following aspects:First, mechanism analysis of promulgating and inheritance of knowledge. This paper analyed the function mechanism of promulgating and inheritance of knowledge from tacit knowledge and explicit knowledge two angles all possess three characteristics: knowledge itself characteristic, subject characteristic and environment characteristic. These characteristics generated when promulgating and inheritance of knowledge running, thus affecting knowledge transfer effect.Second, put forward conceptual framework and a series of assumptions, formed SEM default model. This paper cleared the basic connotation of variables, which reflect characteristics of promulgating and inheritance of knowledge, and knowledge transfer effect, established the conceptual framework and hypotheses. On the basis, this paper designed measurement indicators of these variables, and developed a scale for SEM through test reliability and validity of result of two pretesting, formed SEM default model.Third, modified and tested the default model. This paper chooses a typical knowledge-intensive enterprise for survey research through a combination of interviews and questionnaires. After a number of sample statistics and model fitting, this paper tested the hypothesis, and the default model was modified.Fourth, empirical research verified the degree how two types of promulgating and inheritance of knowledge influence knowledge transfer. The result of empirical research showed that some problems exist in the knowledge‐intensive enterprise which been surveyed and researched, such as promulgating and inheritance of tacit knowledge, and continuous learning of staff have not been taken seriously. These problems led to the inefficiency of knowledge transfer. To this, this paper put forward some countermeasures, so as to provide theoretical thinking and method guidance for similar enterprises.
