Modern Logistics Development Strategy Of Shunde

Modern logistics, as an advanced organizational and management technique, being widely considered to be "the third profit source", in addition to the reduction of material consumption and the improvement of labor productivity for a company, plays an important role in the economic and social development. Recent years of developmental experience has shown that logistics has a huge stimulus effect on the urban economy, especially for cities located at the hubs of transportation. The rapid development of logistics will greatly enhance their center position in the region for logistics and economy. In China's economic development the adequacy of urban logistics planning will directly affect the health of the urban economic development.Shunde has economic and industrial advantages in the region. Logistics will occupy an increasingly important role in Shunde's economic development. In today's rapid period of logistics development, how Shunde should seize the opportunity, vigorously develop modern logistics industry, transform and improve the network of modern logistics, and so to promote sustainable economic and social development is a comprehensive issue before us.The main purpose of this research project is through strategy planning of modern logistics development in Shunde to promote the development of regional commodity circulation, to improve the logistics environment, thereby promoting Shunde's economy and to enhance the enterprises'core competitiveness; to accelerate professional and management of logistics operations, to optimize the industrial structure, to promote regional economic development, and, hopefully, to offer other cities certain references on logistics development plan.This paper uses theories of related disciplines, research methods and techniques to investigate systematically strategies to develop the modern logistics in Shunde. This article is divided into seven parts. The first part describes the research background, the purpose of the study, contents and methods. The second part reviews current research on strategic management and logistics management. Through studies on domestic and foreign literatures we master application and techniques in the research theory. And this consists the theoretical support of the thesis. The third part analyzes logistics development of Shunde from regional economy, industry, transportation and logistics infrastructure, etc. The fourth part uses SWOT method to analyze the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats for the development of modern logistics in Shunde. The fifth part points out problems in the development of logistics in Shunde. The sixth part proposes strategic visions from strategic positioning, development direction and strategic goals respectively for the development of modern logistics in Shunde. The seventh part proposed specific measures from a strategic point of view for the government, industry and enterprises. Finally is the summary analyzing the innovation, deficiencies and application of this paper.
