With the increasing development of society and economy, climate change and the gas emissions of greenhouse have become the major concerns for the public, which makes a variety of low-carbon theory of economic development and the related concepts of low-carbon emerge endlessly. Then low carbon logistics comes into being. The concept of low carbon logistics is put forward to deal with the problems of current climate in global environment and the resources, etc. which meets the needs of low-carbon economy and coordinates with the carrying capacity of the resources. It is not only in accordance with the theory of the sustainable development, but also the inevitable trend of global economic integration.As an important component of Terrestrial ecosystems, forest has huge biomass. It is also an important mixing place of global carbon cycle, which has a direct link with the climate change. The mixed carbon cycle in forest can reduce the accumulation of greenhouse gases in a certain period, thus reducing the gas concentration in the atmosphere. However, timber logging is executed every year for the development of national economy and the needs of forestation, which is not only weakening the function of the mixed carbon cycle in the forest, but also adding the extra carbon emission in the process of production. Therefore, this thesis mainly focuses on the optimization research, of the low carbon logistics in timber production.The study object of this thesis is the system of timber production in logging enterprises, which aims to research on the optimized technology and method in view of current situation of timber production logistics, making it comply with the trend of low carbon logistics development. Based on the expounding of the theory used in this paper, firstly analyze and find out the bottleneck of influencing the development of low carbon in timber production logistics by using the TOC theory combined with the energy consumption and actual situation of timber production in logging enterprises. Secondly, use GIS software to deal with the bottleneck problem proposed about the reasonable distribution of the timber flow which reduces the distance of timber transportation. Finally, propose the solutions which can be implemented to the two log yards respectively about the rationalization of the overall layout of log yards in the bottleneck problems by using the method of SLP. By reducing the distance of timber flow distance, make the process of timber distribution more smoothly to improve the work efficiency in log yards.
