Research On The Model Of Community Participating In Rural Tourism And The Relative Mechanism Of Profits Distribution

Abundant experience has proved that the development of rural tourism is beneficial to advancing the rural population's employment rate and increasing the farmers' income; and is beneficial to improving the conditions of rural living and its ecological environment; and is also beneficial to promoting the democratization of the rural grassroots organizations and the consciousness to participating in the rural political. But because of starting too late for the Chinese rural tourism, there are many facets which induce many unhealthy things in our rural tourism development and management activities which seriously impeding the further development of rural tourism, such as the waste of resources, the vicious competition between tour operators, the lower enthusiasm in participating in the development of tourism and the injustice in benefit distribution, etc. There are two principal causes caused the above issues, which are the unreasonable model of community participating and the unperfected mechanism of profits distribution in rural tourism. The essay using Tourism Science, Sociology, Management, Economics and other related theory as a research foundation to analyzing and summarizing the existing model of community participating in rural tourism, to building the general principle about the model of community participating in rural tourism, and to constructing the relative mechanism of profits distribution in rural tourism on this basis.The thesis contains six parts as follows:In the first part, the study expounds the research's background, purpose, signification, content, method and so on, then it analyses the present fruits on this realm in the world.In the second part, the dissertation firstly defines some relative general concepts. Secondly it explores the ground of theory on the model of community participating in rural tourism and the relative mechanism of profits distribution, which includes sustainable development idea, game theory, stakeholder theory and property right theory.In the third part, the paper sums up several kinds of present models of community participating in rural tourism in our country, and then discusses receptively the general character, the specific form and difficulties in their operation of two model:the "extraneous investor/firm + community citizens + nonprofit organization/government" model and the "community citizens + nonprofit organization/government" model. In the fourth part, firstly, the thesis analyses the necessity to form the reasonable model of community participating in rural tourism. Secondly, the general principles are given. At last, the paper offers the corresponding right and duty of each kind of participator in rural tourism.In the fifth part, the paper first offers the principles of the profit distribution in rural tourism. Second it designs the style of community citizens participating in profit distribution and the Pigovian Taxes for extraneous investors. In the end, the function of local government in profit distribution is discussed.In the last part, after summing the research fruit up and exploring the creative points and shortage, the thesis takes the prospect of future research in relative domain.
