The development of supermarket industry in China is in the last century nineties. With the full liberalization of the Chinese retail market, the entry of foreign-funded enterprises, brought new retail formats, brought the world's most advanced management experience, retail, technology, marketing technology, services, ideas, etc., it also brings great competitive pressure to stimulate the motivation of retail business development, and promote the development of retail enterprises in China, for the modernization of China's rapid increase in circulation has played a positive and important role. But also to China's retail market the most competitive in the world, while regional differences of the most significant markets. This paper selects Lianhua Supermarket, Wuhan Zhongbai, Xinhuadu, the three representative listed company, focused on analysis and comparison of the three listed companies in the development of strategies to identify similarities and differences between their business strategy, want to summarize the development of a relatively well-established enterprises business strategy, and I hope this can provide a reference for the retail industry, but also for other industries with similar companies for reference.The first chapter is an introduction, describes the research background, research objectives and methods, the basic framework of the thesis and logical structure.The second chapter describes the theory, to define the basic concepts, introduces the theory and the evolution of retail formats chain development theory.The third chapter focuses on the development of the industry environment, a comprehensive show China supermarket industry environment, application PEST model macroeconomic environment, and the use of Porter Five Forces Model of competitive environment within the industry chain of supermarkets.The fourth chapter introduced the supermarket chain listed companies in China development to Lianhua Supermarket, Wuhan Zhongbai, and Xinhuadu representative for the specific case studies.The fifth chapter listed companies to develop detailed strategies, from basic development strategy, development strategy and business strategy format the aspects of a comparative study of three companies.The sixth chapter that future development proposals for the development of the industry trend of supermarket chains, with three listed companies with the lack of development experience, business development of supermarket chains put forward countermeasures and suggestions.The last chapter summarizes the conclusions of this paper, innovation and inadequacies as well as future directions for further research.
