A Research On The Development Mechanism Of Aviation Logistics

The aviation logistics is one of the core businesses of civil aviation industry. It plays an important part in improving competition ability of aviation industry and accelerating economic growth. Therefore, the research on aviation logistics has certain value in practice. This paper is based on the theory of logistics and industrial development, and analyzes the development of aviation logistics from four aspects, including interests, technology innovation, demand and supply, competition and government initiatives. The main conclusions are the following. Firstly, interests motivate the emerging of a new industry, and determine the formation, evolution and declining of it. Secondly, technology innovation not only makes profits, but also achieves sustainable development of logistics. Thirdly, demand decides the developmental pattern and the size of aviation logistics. With the change of the demand, the service providers reconstruct administration mechanism and manage aviation transportation resources. Fourth, competition inspires enterprises refine techniques, selects the superior and eliminates the inferior. Fifth, the government provides a healthy external environment by institutional arrangements. These four mechanisms are acting on each other, and codetermine the growth of logistics. In addition, this paper makes an empirical research by taking the Pearl River Delta for example, forecasts the logistics market potential and makes some policy suggestions.
