Cities Around Beijing - Tianjin Agglomeration Analysis Of Urban Competitive Development

As a background of global integration, the position and leadership of cities are taking a prominent part in the development of countries and regions day by day. The competition between different cities is also growing intensely. Therefore, a question regarding how to promote the ability of comprehensive competition appeared and it is going to be an important topic in which every city should pay attention to in the long-term. Regarding the development of the cities and their dependent territory, research regarding the competitive power of the cities has a significant strategic value and practical meaning.In recent years, the Beijing-Tianjin Circle urban agglomeration as the development of hebei primary areas. society, science, and culture, the agglomeration is becoming one of the most active regions in northern China. Also, the agglomeration's prominent place is growing in the national development strategies.According to the view point of single city comprehensively, making research in the ability of competition of cities in the Beijing-Tianjin Circle urban agglomeration, people will come to every city's strengths and weaknesses. Besides, by evaluating the Beijing-Tianjin agglomeration's Circle development and the opportunities or threats which may happen during the development process, people could propose a series of policies. By well organizing principles of development and optimizing resources, the Beijing-Tianjin Circle urban agglomeration's development would be promoted in a positive way.In this paper, the Beijing-Tianjin Circle urban agglomeration's ability of competition is the object of study. First, the paper defines the city's ability of competition with a scientific approach by using study cases and theoretical guidance at the same time. Second, the paper analyzes the theoretical principles and the theoretical models from domestic and foreign comprehensively. Third, based on the preparation, the paper describes an index system that indicates the urban competitive power by using 7 factors and 28 indexes from the analytical method between 49 typical indexes, which have a great influence on the agglomeration's competitive power. in addition, with the help of'yaahp'software and exerting the hierarchical analytic method, the paper analyzes the competitive power of 7 cities in the Beijing-Tianjin Circle urban agglomeration. Moreover, it also analyzes the situation of the competitive power by evaluating 7 factors, and these are the following: economic power, industry development level, technology and education, opening-up level, infrastructure, living condition, informatization level. Finally, according to the result of the SWOT analysis regarding the Beijing-Tianjin Circle urban agglomeration's competitive power, the paper discusses the principles which aim at promoting the competitive power in the perspective of joining the Beijing-Tianjin's industry.The index system of the Beijing-Tianjin Circle urban agglomeration created in this paper was successfully exerted principal components analytic method objectively. As this index system broke the stereotype of the old index system which appeared subjective, it is more connected with the city's competitive power issues compared to those of the past index system. Because the index system in this paper is more scientific, it can reveal the object's advantages and disadvantages. Based on this kind of index system, people could propose more sensitive principles regarding how to promote the Beijing-Tianjin Circle urban agglomeration's competitive power.
