The Primary Research About China's Cement Industry Industrial Integration

With the remarkable increase of economic development in China, our cement industry development also acquires an great achievement,the production got soaring climbing year by year. From 1985, our Chinese cement production still lied in NO.1 in the world. To 2010, our cement production has got to 18.8 billion ton one/yr. However, lower degree of concentrate, unreasonable framework and cut-throat competition came out with the rise. For the sake of healthy increasing, from the year 2006, our country published a series of polices to encourage to finish merge and consolidation. Each industry mergers have rules, whether the integration of cement industry follows the general rules, and whether has its own characteristics, these are my essay's research problems.My essay firstly introduces the related theory of industrial integration--industrial organization theory and two analysis tools:"Michael Porter's Five Forces" Model and cole evolution cycle curve, the research shows that the integration of each industry are following general integration rule, in different stage show different characteristics, this essay studies the development of China's cement industry, By analyzing its present situation and integration of cement industry and features to find whether the integration of cement industry follows the general rules. And by using "the SCP" analysis paradigm and "potter five competitive forces" model to analyze the environment of cement industry integration in China, I choose the Central Government-led Enterprise-China Building Material CO. LTD as the case to analyze, combined cases and theory to find out its own characteristics.
