Research Of CT Scanner Manufature Enterprises' Sourcing Management

The medical equipment and instrument industry of which the CT scanner is an important symbol is a high-tech industry, full of high added value and competitions. It is also an important part of both the equipment manufacturing industry and the pharmaceutical industry. Many countries around the world pay more and more attention to this industry. In recent years, with the rapid development of technology and economic, the innovation cycles of CT scanners is shortened continuously. The degree of raw materials customization is increasing. The relationship between manufacturers and suppliers are much closer than before. A CT scanner has a wide variety of raw materials. Impacted by the raw material market uncertainty, supplier issues, and sourcing management issues of the manufacturers'own, the production of CT scanners is facing a series of problems, such as lots of material shortage, low inventory turns.This paper analyzed raw materials sourcing management status and causes of the CT scanner manufacturers. It researched modern supply chain management theory, ABC classification of raw materials and a variety of popular procurement methods, compared the implementation conditions of these theories and methods with and status of CT scanner manufacturers, analyzed the differences and root causes, optimized the sourcing management of the CT scanner manufacturers, proposed some improved methods to classify the raw materials, and chose reasonable sourcing to fit for the raw materials classification, then made a mathematical model to demonstrate the feasibility of the new classification and sourcing methods, finally took GEHC Beijing Site as an example to demonstrate the model.The optimized sourcing management model can not only reduce the risk of material shortage effectively, but also reduce the inventory cost from raw materials to finished products, increase inventory turns and raise the utilization of liquidity. It is also good for researching new models of CT scanners and positive for Long-term development of CT scanner manufactures.
