Customer Order Decoupling Point (CODP) positioning is one of the most important decision problem of postponement strategy implementation in mass customization. Focused on CODP positioning problem in single product family and the complexity and coordination problem in product delivery process of multi-CODPs This paper did a research on CODP positioning and product delivery mode by both qualitative and quantitative analysis, which is of practical research value.At first, this paper summarized the theories related with mass customization and postponement strategy (PS).Then lead to the CODP which plays a important role in both MC and PS.And analyzed the reason for its moving, influence factors and the relation of cost,degree of customiazation and response time.Later, based on the universal formula of computing corporate profits, CODP positioning model of a single product family was built, including product cost, the degree of customization, delivery lead time.And an example was solved and analyzed by using above model. For the product delivery problem caused by multi-CODPs coexisting in company which has multi-product families, LTO mode is mentioned. And then applied simulation tool Arena to simulate the process of automobile manufacturers'response to customers'orders in LTO, BTO and BTS mode. And contrast and anaylysis were made according to the output of simulation model. Outcomes from simulation model show that compared with BTS and BTO, LTO mode can shorten order delivery time and reduce inventory level.Innovation of this paper is as follows:1. In the CODP positioning model which was built in chapter 4, the customers' demand was not a fixed value,but a intermediate variable which changes with the degree of customization.This parameter setting was favorable to correspond with the actual demands.2.For the multi-CODPs product delivery mode, there is lack of simulation experiment and effect evaluation. This paper applied simulation tool Arena to simulate the process of automobile manufacturers'response to customers'orders in LTO, BTO and BTS mode. And simulation evaluation to above three modes was conducted by introducing a control variable y and the three evaluation indexes which are y (matching degree between production plan and actual order), TI (Total Inventory), OCR (Order Completion Rate) and AODT (Average Order Delivery Time). And contrast and anaylysis were made according to the output of simulation model.
