Shenzhen has become the vanguard of China's economic development, has become China's reform and innovation basement, and has become the window of China's opening up.2010 is the thirtieth year of the establishment of Shenzhen special economic zone. In 2010, Shenzhen special economic zone is also beginning transition from special zone to a city. In the situation that special economic zones preferential policies are canceled, Shenzhen needs a new development orientation to become an international city.Shenzhen special economic zone's 30 years development process can be divided into four stages:start-up phase from 1980-1985; export-oriented industrialization stage from 1986 to 1992; modern city-building phase from 1993 to 2003; and after-special economic zone phase from 2004 to now. Using the geographical advantages of adjacent to Hong Kong, Shenzhen has attracted foreign investment from Hong Kong, accumulated original capital for the development of Shenzhen's economic. And then, driven by a series of policies, Shenzhen establishes export-oriented economy, comprehensively pushes forward market-oriented economic reform, eventually achieves the city's rapid economic development, and makes important contributions for china's economic development.Thanks to the unique model of economic development-Shenzhen model, Shenzhen has significant achievements in economic growth, institutional innovation, technological innovation, culture and livelihood. Shenzhen model is defined as:The special support to national policy for startup foundation, market-oriented, the development of high and new technology enterprise as the main body, in the economic system, the industry development of the bold innovation model of development. The development practice of Shenzhen has proved the model successfully. Shenzhen model has made Shenzhen having rapid economic development. Shenzhen's GDP increases from 2.7 billion in 1980 to 9510.91 billion in 2010.But with the development of global economic integration and the continuous progress of the reform, Shenzhen faces the following problems:(1) Shenzhen is the world's factory, has not grasped the core technology and independent innovation ability; (2) Shenzhen urgently needs to accelerate the upgrading of industrial structure, develops from the traditional to high-tech business, vigorously develop the tertiary industry, especially the financial sector and logistics industry;(3) Upgrading of industrial structure has also put forward higher requirements of personnel.
