Ever since the Reform & Opening-up Policy, our economy has witnessed a rapid progress, however, differences in between the developed area and the less-developed area have become more and more obvious. Many scholars have worked on regional economic differences, while the governments inland less-developed area are searching ways to boost economic development and to narrow the gap between the above-said areas through investment promotion. The thesis hereby, by studying the preceding research work and experiences on the basis of practical work and by combining macroscopic economy growth theory with microscopic government applications, analyzed problems occurred during the procedure of investment promotion by referring to regional economic growth theory, and concluded that regional economic growth should mainly depend on essential elements construction; whereas investment promotion shall coordinate with the above-said construction and be appropriate.The thesis hereby has adopted some certain research method and proposed some new perspectives. First, Inland less-developed area has been listed as its research object; Then, Mr. Zhang Wuchang's Land Rent theory has been used as its main research channel; Thirdly, Investment has been determined as rare resource; Fourthly, Essential economic growth elements constitute core-competitiveness; and Finally, it has suggested a government propelled systematic investment promotion ways.
