Zibo is a famous Chinese ceramics city, has a long history, created magnificent ceramic culture. Ceramics is a loud card in Zibo, for many years Zibo has been concerned by friends both in China and abroad. For creating "Zibo ceramics contemporary kingdom kiln" brand image, Zibo ceramic in the stable development, and constantly improving technology, positive innovation, improve quality and service, strive to provide the most satisfactory ceramic products for all consumers. However after 1990's, In China Guangdong, Hunan and Fujian province ceramics industry continuously rise, ceramics industry competition is increasing and brings a lot of pressure for the development of Zibo ceramics industry, and Zibo ceramics industry itself has many problems, such as less famous brand, low market share, the product innovation capability is not strong, research and development capabilities limited and so on, hindered Zibo ceramics industry competitiveness, limit to improve ceramics industry competitiveness in Zibo. Therefore, to study how to improve the competitiveness of Zibo ceramics industry has important guiding significance to the sustainable healthy development of Zibo ceramics industry, is also the main purpose of this study.Domestic scholars who devoted to the study of Zibo ceramics industry are not exposed to ceramics industry competitiveness, the research are much rarer, individual scholars from the business competitive, industrial cluster and ceramic export in detailed research, but few have from the competitiveness of the industry. In this paper, based on the former research and the related theory, Zibo ceramics industry competitiveness as the object of this study, the analysis method is the qualitative and quantitative combined, based on the development of Zibo ceramics, systematic research the competitiveness of the Zibo ceramics industry, puts forward the countermeasure and suggestion to the development of Zibo ceramics industry competitiveness, for the continued development of Zibo ceramics industry laid a foundation.The first chapter of this paper presents the background and the research significance, the domestic and foreign research review, basic theory, research thinking and research methods and innovative points, preliminary understands the article research significance, the background and the basic; The second part represent the development of Zibo ceramics history and the characteristics of Zibo ceramics industry; The third part, based on Michael Porter's diamond model theory, from producing elements, domestic demand, relevant industry and support industry, business strategy, structure , government and opportunity to analysis the six factors of Zibo ceramics industry competitive formation mechanism; Fourth part, based on relevant theories and methods of industrial competitiveness, Zibo ceramics industry for the object study, using analytic hierarchy process, determine system of evaluation for Zibo ceramics industry competitiveness, including technological competitiveness, environmental competitiveness, manufacturing competitiveness, product competitiveness and market competitiveness in all five second-class indexes, and eighteen third-class indexes, using model analysis the evaluation results, then, compare the current situation of the development of ceramics industry in Zibo, Foshan, Jingdezhen, it is concluded that their respective comprehensive comparative evaluation points, then through the result analyzes the shortage of Zibo ceramics industry competitiveness; The final part of the content on the basis of above analysis, conclusion, shortage, propose the promote countermeasures of from enterprises, governments and industry association, provided the foundation of Zibo ceramics industry; The last chapter of this paper summarized the research content and discusses the deficiency of this study.Zibo ceramics industry competitive mechanism, raw materials, human resources, business strategies in competitive advantage, weak in infrastructure and government in general, and two competitive domestic market demand, and the related industries and development opportunities with strong competitive advantage. In Zibo, Foshan and Jingdezhen ceramic industry competitiveness three comprehensive evaluation of Zibo ceramics industry that revealed comparative advantage, the overall labour productivity and market share are low, much lower than the Foshan, and Jingdezhen flat; In R&D input intensity, brand awareness and technology innovation ability, Zibo has fallen; Zibo ceramic price level superiority. Based on the above results, and government and industry from the enterprise association point of view, improve the competitiveness of the industry of Zibo porcelain of strategic countermeasures, solve all kinds of problems existing in Zibo porcelain, comprehensive promotion Zibo ceramics industry competitiveness.
