Tourists to Hong Kong are the major transit visitor market of Shenzhen, and in the year of 2006 the number of tourists to Hong Kong is 13,500,000, and there are 7,000,000 of them choosing Shenzhen as their transit spot. Among the 7,000,000, one. third of them stayed in Shenzhen longer or shorter, and they consumed in Shenzhen. So the research on their behaviors of consumption helps to figure out the consumption model of tourists to Hong Kong, Because of the geography location, the number of transit visitors in Shenzhen is very huge, and Shenzhen is not only a very important transit spot of Hong Kong, but a typical tourism destination. Based on the reasons above, not so many attentions were paid on the transit visitors. In this thesis, the research topic is the tourists to Hong Kong who stayed in Shenzhen, and the analysis object is their consumption behaviors. The research on consumption behaviors focuses, on their affecting factors, consumer characteristics, purchase behaviors and after-behaviors of purchase. All the analysis of this thesis are based on the questionnaire which aims to the consumer characteristics of tourists to Hong Kong, and the methods of analysis are single-factor and multi-factor forming ways, by the same time the impact degree of the tourist consumption is also mentioned in this thesis. And the conclusion shows, one third of tourists to Hong Kong stay in Shenzhen, and the main group is the middle-aged and young tourists. The sex, age, profession and the purpose of tourism seem to be the major factor of their stay motivation, time and aim. Income levels, educational degrees, family size and other factors have affected their level of consumption, accommodation and consumption structure; Shenzhen in the accommodation industry and the catering industry have a lot of room to develop; In the factor of tourism services, transit visitors are not satisfied obviously with the quality of service and reception facilities. Through the research on consumption behaviors in Shenzhen of the tourists to Hong Kong, the development of marketable tourism products, improvement tourism management and services, and enhancing tourism enterprises competitiveness of Shenzhen attach the most importance.
