With the deepening of reform and opening up, the container transportation in China have developed rapidly. But, At the same time, China container shipping is also facing the fierce market competition that container large-scale is inevitable and the important role of regional transportation is increasingly prominent. Tianjin Port is the hub port in north China region, shouldering the construction of international shipping center in northern China. Tianjin port was opened since 1952, and has obtained the development by leaps and bounds. In 2009, Tianjin port completed cargo throughput reaching 3.8 million tons, and was in the third position of national ports or in the fifth position of global ports. But meanwhile port container transportation development is unsatisfactory. Compared with the fifth status of Tianjin port throughput in the world, Tianjin port container throughput in the world was all the time after tenth place. Therefore, we must strengthen development of Tianjin port container transportation. Based on the analysis of the branch feeder transportation to Tianjin port, this paper will use the ant colony algorithm to optimize branch feeder transportation network in Tianjin port so as to provide adequate development power for port container transportation.Firstly, this paper summarizes container transportation status quo, illustrates relevant knowledge the container transportation and container feeder transportation, and describe and analyze the current situation for our regional transportation of container. Secondly, with the object of study, this paper expounds situation of the port container transport and feeder transportation, uses SWOT analysis in Tianjin port container transportation, and makes the analysis of existing problems in Tianjin port development process of feeder container transportation. Once again, this paper uses the ant colony algorithm to optimize the analysis of inside the container transportation network extension for Tianjin port link Bohai Sea. Finally, based on the above analysis, this article offers some suggestions to accelerate the development of Tianjin port container transportation, and clears the related countermeasures to development of feeder port container transportation.This presents that an important reason for Tianjin port container transportation developing slowly is that feeder transportation is underdevelopment in Tianjin port. So to accelerate the container regional transportation development in Tianjin port, this essay considers nine aspects below must be implemented, namely to change ideas, strengthen capital support, standardize trade behavior, encourage cooperation enterprise in port or between the ports, use modern technology, attach importance to talent cultivation or strengthen port propaganda.
