With the steady and rapid development of China's economy and people's rising income levels, China's PC manufacturing industry develops fast, which has made remarkable achievements, and gradually developed into the leading industry of China's electronic information industry sector. However, China's PC manufacturing enterprises mainly engaged in the production and manufacture of PC parts, and generally do not grasp the core technology, although PC outsourcing policy of manufacturers in Europe and America and other developed countries can get some technical support to engage in relatively high quality of manufacturing activities by participating in international division of enterprises,but at the same time, the independence of our country's PC industry has been weakened, lose their autonomy in the core technology, and then controlled by others.meanwhile, because of the industry long-term price war, Chinese PC manufacturing industry's profit margins decline to lower and lower, long-term price wars and low profit margins make the PC no longer surrounded by a halo of high-tech manufacturing sector, and forced many companies withdraw from the PC industry, then the rest of the PC manufacturing industry is also under tremendous competitive pressure. In this background, more and more people start to think about the developing prospects of Chinese PC industry.In view of this, the paper selected PC manufacturers as the research object, combined with value chain integration and competitive advantage theories, specifically analyses the value chain stucture of PC manufacturers,the factors that affect PC manufacturers' competitive advantages, and the effect of PC manufacturers' value chain integration to enhance the PC manufacturers' competitive advantages. Also in the basis of which, this thesis will propose specific ways and measures, competitive advantage of manufacturing enterprises to enhance PC, and finally enhance the paper's practical conduction role by Lenovo's and Dell's case analysis.This article is divided into six parts, the first one is the introduction part, it describes the research background, significance, research framework,research methods and the possible innovations and deficiencies. The second part mainly introduces the value chain and competitive advantage theories, analyses of Michael Porter's traditional value chain theory in detail; it pointed out that the value of the business activities can be divided into two parts:one is basic activity; the second is a supplementary activity. Basic event is directly organized by the transformation from input to output, delivery, after-sales service and other specific jobs, which are creation in essence of the product or service, including internal logistics, manufacturing operations, external logistics, marketing and after-sales service; supplementary activity support basic activities, mainly including enterprise infrastructure, human resources management, technology development and procurement.The third part conducts the principle that t PC manufacturers' value chain integration enhances the PC manufacturers' competitive advantages. It points out that the industry's competitive advantages include cost advantages and differentiation advantages, and specific analyses how value chain integration's four ways (contraction of the value chain, value chain extension of the value chain and business alliances to expand) form company's cost advantages and differentiation advantages. The fourth part analyses current situation of Chinese PC manufacturing value chain and competitive advantage status, and puts forward ways and measures to improve their competitive advantages in base of it. The ways to obtain the cost advantages are:controlling the cost factors, reconstructing enterprise value chain as well as other companies strategic alliances that formed on the value chain; the ways to access differentiation advantages are: increasing the source of uniqueness, creating the unique, reconstructing the value chain structure, a clear position on the value chain, the contraction of value chain and the integration the value chain level; six specific measures are as followed:First, cultivate their own core strengths, second, optimize its own value chain, the third is to promote integration of the upstream and downstream on value chain value chain, the fourth, reconstruct company value chain Fifth, enhance product innovation and process innovation, sixth, do well the supporting work that matched value chain management. Part 5 will regard the Lenovo Group and Dell as examples, for example, inspect the measures that the thesis proposed to enhance the PC manufacturers competitive advantages, so that the paper can be more close to reality, more referent. Finally, conclusion, which reviews and sums up main points of the full text, and further research papers are to be discussed. |
