Driven by the rapid development of foreign trade and the national economy, the coastal ports'development is rapidly, and the high-speed development of the port has greatly promoted the development of the city and the surrounding areas, gradually formed three port groups:the Yangtze River Delta, the Pearl River Delta and Bohai Economic Zone.Analysis the impact of port development to the changes of port industry is this paper's major target; comprehensively analyze the results of domestic and foreign scholars and experts in this field, as theoretical guidance for research; use basic principles of industrial economy and port economy and means of modern economics, statistics and econometrics, use the industry of Qingdao and Qingdao Port as an example, do empirical research;And on this basis,select three main coastal ports for summarized, carried out horizontal comparison with Qingdao, to identifying the advantages and disadvantages of Qingdao, this article mainly includes the following:First of all conducted an in-depth analysis of the results of domestic and foreign scholars and experts in this field, Understand the status quo of port to the cities' industry in domestic and international, as theoretical guidance for further research;Secondly, review the change of Qingdao Port and the city's industrial structure; analyze the effect of port to the cities'industry by statistical description method, and find that there has a positive correlation between them.Thirdly, apply elastic coefficient and multiple regression model to analyze the historical data of Qingdao Port and the city's industry, the results show that the development of Qingdao Port has played a very significant positive role in promoting the upgrading of the city's industrial structure. The most obvious role is to promote the tertiary industry, and the industry's dependence on the port throughput is more than the dependence on the container throughput, it proves. that the Qingdao Economic is from an extensive to an intensive type, the city's industrial structure is in transition. On this basis, we selected one of the major cities in the Bohai Rim, Yangtze River Delta and Pearl River Delta port cluster, and conduct with the elasticity and regression analysis like Qingdao, then do horizontal comparison with Qingdao, identify the advantages and disadvantages of Qingdao.The result is that Qingdao and Shanghai showed the most similar, the two cities have in common is that port have the greatest impact on the tertiary industry, the cities'industry have a better goodness of fit with container throughput than other port variables.
