With coming into the 2nd decade of 21st century, the rocketing price of the global resource-based products gradually affects the development of the enterprises. In this rapid changing world, to get survival and development an enterprise should enhance control and management of the product cost. Only low cost, nice service, excellent brands, quick reaction can make it occupy an invincible position in the competitions.This article is generated by consulting books about cost control and grasps modern advanced theories and methods of cost management and taking cost control in S Elevator Company as research object, aims at some problems in the process of cost control, integrates theory with practice, analyzes the bad realities of cost management, and finds out the cruxes of the problems and raises the solutions. This article explores the effective cost management means to the enterprises, and brings forward some measures such as controlling raw materials cost and session expense, improving the cost control system, extending the concept of cost management, enhancing the management of cost budget, establishing strict standard of cost control and comparing it with the implementation of the cost plan, designing promoting methods, heightening competitive capacities and benefit levels of products in order to achieve the goal of implementing benefit system project and prime strategy and then boost the economic benefit of the enterprises.Deepening the cost management reform now becomes a significant and urgent problem. Survival of the fittest is the principal of the competitions. To survive and to develop, an enterprise needs to adopt various measures to carry out production and management with a cost that much lower than the competitors, only do this can help enterprises increase market shares and profits. Faced to the rigorous market situation, the enterprises should hold tight the target of production and management, initiatively adapt the external environment and settle down some cost control measures that this paper researches and works out. The author provides the theories and methods and those are all helpful for the enterprises to choose right management strategies, to deal with the relations between development and cost management and finally to heighten the wholly economic benefit.
