Since from 1990, the concept of core competence was first put forward by Prahalad and HaMel, core competence has been becoming the focus of people increasingly and core competence has been thought the fountain for the firm in order to get the sustainable competitive advantage. The manufacturing firm is the pillar industry of our country and it has always played a very important role in the whole national economy. If the manufacturing firm wants to get the indefectible position in the fierce competition, it must constantly cultivate and promote the core competence ability. After the core competence theory has been introduced into China since the late 1990s, the scholar has begun to make further research of it. The current research theory has become a system, but everything is in progress and development, the development of core competence is also so. In this kind of background, taking the manufacturing firm as the big research aim, this paper doing the core competence and the promotion mechanism research of the manufacturing firm dose not only have the theoretical value but also the practical significance.This paper summarizes and discusses the background, the purpose and the significance firstly. Based on this, it promotes and makes a detailed summary about the connotation and characteristic of the core competence of the manufacturing firm in China. Based on this, this paper promotes the basic contents of the connotation, the essential characteristic, the constructed elements and the coupled relation of the manufacturing firm core competence promotion mechanism, and then it promotes three kinds form of the three promotion mechanisms which are the driving mechanism of the core competence promotion; the implement mechanism of the core competence promotion; the interactive operation mechanism of the core competence promotion. In order to make further clear how the effection of the manufacturing firm core competence promotion mechanism is, this paper promotes the operational model of the manufacturing firm core competence promotion mechanism and make the general summary of it including the connotation and the characteristic, and then it promotes three innovative models of the manufacturing firm core competence promotion mechanism:the PSR coupling operational mode of core competence promotion mechanism; interactive learning operational mode of core competence promotion mechanism; compound interactive operation mode of core competence promotion mechanism, at last this paper states the relation of the three operational models of the promotion mechanism which is based on the self-categorizations theory.In order to cultivate and promote manufacturing firm core competence and measure the operational effection of the promotion mechanism operational model which has been constructed. According to the principle of independence and the principle of dynamic guidance principle, this paper reflects the operational effection level of the manufacturing firm core competence promotion mechanism from the two facts of input indexes and output indexes. The input indexes include coupling indexes, learning indexes and operating indexes; it uses the performance indexes to reflect the outputs indexes, and it also uses fourteen three-level indexes to state. At the same time, it makes full detailed discussion of every selected index and it constructs the operational effect evaluation index system of the manufacturing firm core competence promotion mechanism.Based on it, this paper uses the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and the experts'marking to determine the weight coefficient of index system and construct the operational effects multilevel grey fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model of the manufacturing firm core competence promotion mechanism. Based on this, this paper makes an empirical analysis to the Harbin JinMeiLe commercial machinery Firm, and according the calculation result, this paper analyzes the current situation and the existence problem of the operational effects of the core competence promotion mechanism of the Harbin JinMeiLe commercial machinery Firm.At last, this paper constructed the supporting measures system of the promotion mechanism operational model of the manufacturing firm core competence. And also it promotes the corresponding measures according the promotion mechanism operational models which are promoted in the third part and the empirical analysis of the fourth part:the supporting measures system of PSR coupling operational mode; the supporting measures system of interactive learning operational mod; the supporting measures system of compound interactive operation mode, and it gives the powerful protected measures to the manufacturing firm core competence promotion.
