Spare Parts Management In A Enterprise's After-sale Service

Nowadays with the development of economic environment, all the enterprises are facing fierce competition situation. After-sales service plays a more and more important role for the enterprise. After-sales service is the mainly function of a enterprise, and it contribute a lot for the product competition. Furthermore, the efficiency in the progress of after-sales service may influence the marketing of the enterprise directly. Therefore, it should pay more attention to after-sales service of the enterprise.Based on analyzing the whole after-sales service of A medical enterprise. This paper describes the advantages and disadvantages for the medical spare parts management, arising from the mismanaged spare parts return process. Use the theories of modern logistics to improve A's after-sales service, we mainly analyzes the process from many respects such as its storage, transportation, employee hiring, cost and so on. Hence according to those analysis for A medical enterprise, we find out high cost in inventory,long inventory period,some problem in maintenance strategy and potential failure. We give some corresponding countermeasures.Then in the enterprise's spare parts management we build a mode of inventory cost according to the analysis of potential failure. Different failure contributes different risk priority value and lost in the opportunity cost. In that case, enterprises should deal with the spare parts differently according to its failures. Finally, we draw the conclusion that the spare parts with higher risk priority value should be considered to satisfy in the first place. Then we consider supplying the spare parts with the lower level. Based on the spare parts inventory cost mode, we can improve the enterprise's cost and figure out the optimal quantity to make A medical enterprise's spare parts inventory cost lowest. Moreover, some simple case study is included.
