Contemporary Chinese jewelry industry experienced the period of stagnation, period fluctuation, restorative period of development, and integration of rapid development period. The four periods are not only brilliant, but also gloomy. In the ups and downs of the wave some events were worthy of record, explore and reflection. This is a huge jewelry net composed of correlative joints which include market, people, mass media ,policy and so on. To explore the nets need a distinctive angle.To unveil the mystery of the vast net, we need more vivid and real materials, and also need an angle of view. Marketing way as the angle of view can explore the development of contemporary Chinese jewelry industry.This paper is divided into four parts. The first part explains the thesis and the value of this paper, including the origin and meaning, research scope and research perspective; the second part uses marketing methods to study the transformation of the economy, culture and social background; the third part makes comparisons of marketing way between jewelry industry and other industry, and also analysis the reasons; the fourth part has analysis of the development of the marketing way in the future in China.This paper using case analysis and historical analysis methods studies the development of contemporary Chinese jewelry industry. And also studies the typical marketing cases by marketing way in the contemporary Chinese jewelry industry. The research focuses on the period from the late 1980s to 2009, and the analysis of marketing way in China's jewelry industry business including precious metals and expensive gems.China jewelry industry will have more powerful development in the process of modernization. The jewelry industry marketing way will pay more attention to systematize and standardization of the management research, and integrated innovation for the development of the enterprises themselves through core competitiveness instead of price war. There are some keywords leveling up jewelry marketing, for example, capital, direct sale, brand, learning, innovation, informationization, the integration of resources, focusing on hot spots, diversification, and the execution.
