Unified Communication is a supportive platform which integrates various services such as the IP telephone, Instant Messaging, Unified Messaging, and Audio, Video and Web Conferencing, presence and mobility via the networks to facilitate the employees' work processes in order to improve the employees' productivity by enhancing collaboration. In recent years, many related companies such as Telecom Equipment players, Enterprise Application Software vendors, Web-based players, Telecom Service operators and others have been attracted by the extensive UC market potential.The China Telecom equipment suppliers, such as Huawei and ZTE, have become stronger; in the meantime, in addition to the steady development of the market in some developing regions and countries, Huawei and ZTE entering European and American markets will be an inevitable trend. Currently, the major UC market is in the developed regions and countries of Europe and America; it is very important to analyze the entry of Huawei and ZTE into the European UC market.Based on the above statements, this dissertation analyzed the European UC market's current situation and its development trend, the contemporary competition background, as well as Huawei and ZTE's UC solutions. We then proposed the strategies for Huawei and ZTE entering the European UC market.First of all, this dissertation proposed a UC definition and described the main application elements of UC, and analyzed the driving forces and barriers of UC development. Secondly, according to the historical data from the last five years, we have analyzed the present situation and predicted the development trend in the next five years of the European UC market, and then analyzed the current competition landscape of the European UC market by using the Porter Five Forces Analysis model, as well as the major competitors'advantages and disadvantages. Finally, I have introduced the UC solutions from Huawei and ZTE, and respectively analyzed the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of Huawei and ZTE entering the European UC market.
