Research On Henan Automobile Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance

Auto industry occupies a significant position in the whole industrial chain and becomes one of the most important industries which support the modern industrial system of Henan Province and accelerate the development of Central China. In recent years, auto industry and its scale have achieved rapid development in Henan Province. Vehicle manufacturer such as Yutong Automobile Enterprise and Automobile Parts Companies such as Zhongyuan Auto Parts Enterprise, both of which are representatives of Henan Auto Enterprise Group and are in fast developing. The capacities in scientific and research and technological development of those auto enterprises are greatly improved. However, the constraints of the development of automobile industry in Henan Province are still obvious, especially the small-scale, the weak capacity for independent innovation, the lower grade of products, the scattered industrial layout and the low level of regional support. In order to promote the development of automobile industry in Henan Province, it is necessary to construct Automobile Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance which will be a good way to solve the problem of weak capacity in scientific research and the low competitive strength.This paper discusses the development and the history of Henan automobile industry and then conducts a SWOT analysis, comparative analysis and factor analysis of its competitiveness. On the base of theses analysis, advice about how to improve the competitiveness of Henan automobile industry is proposed, which is to build Automobile Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance.The first part introduces the background and significance of the issues. It also makes clear of the theories of industrial technology innovation strategic alliance. The main methodologies and innovation point are included at the end of this part.In the second part, the paper provides an overview of the development and history of Henan automobile industry and conducts a SWOT analysis. It then conducts comparative analysis and factor analysis of Henan automobile industry to make a general idea of its true competitiveness. Thirdly, the necessity to build Henan Automobile Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance, the members of the alliance and their responsibilities, the operational mechanisms and the development of such domestic alliances are studied. The last two parts introduce the successful experiences of technology innovation strategic alliances abroad and conduct a preliminary construction of Henan Automobile Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance.
