The Study Of NUAIR Supplier Selection

With the continuing integration of the global economy, companies today compete not only on product quality, pricings & service, but also on the supply chain management, among which supplier selection plays an essential role.By using European power tools importer NUAIR as the research object, this dissertation presents the problem caused by having too many suppliers in the supplying pool. It also analyses the environments of power tools industry, current supplier situation and the products features.This article is focused on the design of the supplier selection methodology. The preselection criteria and audit step are introduced to set up the final selection plan. Various criteria are analyzed and considered to make the final selection. A supplier rating model is suggested to score the suppliers and based on the rankings the final supplier selection can be made.
