In recent years, as the rapid development of global economic integration, our foreign trade has expanded greatly; meanwhile, the container throughput has been improved heavily in our country, which has increased to 20% since 1995.And it even reached 126 billion TEU in 2008, which was set up a new record of our container throughout. However, the rapid turnover of container's rise makes the container yard at its dock facing a big test. Whether the container yard at its dock can adequately utilizes current resources or not; optimizing yard operation; reducing the container staying time at the dock and the stevedore charges; speeding up its turnover, and supplying good service for the customers are the burning questions for nowadays container yard business. So it means the owners and researchers have to use the advanced management and technologies continuously to improve the transmitted capability of container yard system. Therefore, to carry out a research of improving the transmitted capability of the container yard system is not only imperative, but it also has important practical significance.This paper, based on the transmitted capability of Tianjin's container yard system, aims at finding out the remaining problems in this container yard by using the mechanical system, information system, process procedure and work flow, which introduce its present situation according to the related index, and both by analyzing its system. Then using the queuing theory, optimizes Tianjin's operation process of its container yard; finally, based on the former study, we can make a conclusion which is about the improved methods to the container yard system of Tianjin, and then we can expect the gain of the enhanced system.
