This article talks about the reality and future of agricultural extension model, examining the role of agricultural extension models, functions and status from policy environment, human resource conditions, scientific and technological innovation level and organizational structure that influence the quality and effectiveness of agricultural extension through analyzing the international and domestic agricultural extension model.It put forward specific ideas and strategies to make agricultural extension models work best through strengthening the construction of agricultural extension model from such aspects as external environment, the quality of personnel, organization, mechanism innovation, financial support, science and technology content etc.Agricultural extension bears a series of tasks, for example, advancing rural people's basic knowledge and information, enhancing production technology level of the rural labor force, improving rural life environment and quality, increasing their self-organization and decision-making ability. The model also plays an important role in promoting agricultural science and technology achievements, increasing agricultural production and operational efficiency, implementing national agricultural plans, guidelines, policies and other social functions. From all the above, the agricultural extension model is a concrete realization of this series of events.This paper attempts to explore the ways of cultivation and formation of agricultural extension model from the individual scenarios. Chinese account for nearly 70% people in the world. Realization of agricultural modernization is a necessary prerequisite of China's modernization, and the development of modern agriculture is a way to pursuit national modernization. The Agricultural Extension plays an active role through publishing agricultural information and the spirit of science, promoting industrial construction, shaping new model of farmers, developing modern agriculture and enhancing the modernization level.But the agricultural extension model bears the application work of agricultural extension.At present, the China's agricultural extension model in some areas has lagged behind, mainly as follows:weak policy implementation; low proportion of private ownership institutions, knowledge aging, sorrow dissemination of agricultural information, low rate of agricultural scientific research penetration, small efforts of funding support. The agricultural extension work in Weifang city is slightly better than other areas, but with compared with that in foreign countries, there is still a wide gap.This paper selecting agricultural extension models in Weifang City as a case study, combing international and domestic modern agricultural development, talks about the important role of agricultural extension model in agricultural effectiveness and healthy development and gives related conclusions. Agricultural extension applications promote the transition from traditional agriculture to modern agriculture and promote the building of new socialist countryside. But agricultural extension will be a castle in the air if not depending upon its agricultural resources. This article selecting Weifang City as a case study, summing up agricultural extension experience, analyzing the problems, aims to direct a useful way for effective application of agricultural extension model.
