In recent years, people constantly pursue high-grade interior decoration, multi-functional, and comfortable. Many hotels, restaurants, commercial buildings, conference rooms, etc. have chosen vertical Venetian blinds. The product can be full-retractable, and freely adjust light direction in the 180°range. It is a kind of shading, insulation, ventilation and decorative curtain. Polyester fabric as Venetian blind not only can reduce costs, but also have a mellower look more beautiful and feel rich. Venetian blind should have a certain degree of stiffness characteristics, plump handle, good wrinkle recovery and other basic functions. From security considerations it also has a certain degree of flame-retardant property; and should have water repellent property, shading property. But polyester fabric itself does not meet the Venetian blinds to the characteristics properties, therefore, the related functional finishing for polyester fabrics have some practical significance; The polyester Venetian blinds with a set of Stiffness and flame-retardant properties have a broad market prospect and practical value.In this paper, Stiffening finishing and flame-retardant finishing process of polyester fabric Venetian blinds are studied, and provide production base to develop stiffness and flame-retardant polyester composite function of Venetian blinds.Firstly, the Stiffening finishing process of polyester Venetian blinds was discussed in this paper. Two environmental-friendly stiffness agents were chosen such as the Stiffness agent 6310 and agent 618 and finishing was of good result. The optimum finishing process is as follows: for squeezer Pressure 2.0kg/cm2; the ratio of Stiffness 6310 agent and agent 618 mass ratio is 10:1; Pre-bake temperature is 80℃; pre-baking time is 60 seconds; curing temperature is 150℃; curing time for is 90 seconds. The better stiffness of polyester fabric Venetian blinds could be developed by this way.Secondly, the flame-retardant finishing process of polyester Venetian blinds was discussed. The flame retardant DBDPE was chosen. It has good performance, and is green environmental-friendly. DBDPE can mix the Stiffness agent 6310 and 618 better. The flame-retardant process parameters of polyester Venetian blinds were discussed. Such as the concentration of flame retardant, squeezer pressure, pH, curing temperature and curing time. And using orthogonal experiment methods, the flame-retardant finishing process parameters of the polyester Venetian blinds are optimized. The optimal finishing process parameters are as follows: flame-retardant concentration of 300g/L, pH = 3, the squeezer pressure is 1kg/cm2, curing temperature is 170℃, and the curing time is 90 seconds. By DBDPE and Sb2O5 mixture, it was found that they were played synergistic flame-retardant effect of the best mass ratio was 1:1.Finally, the complex function finishing of stiffness and flame -retardant were discussed. Using one-bath process, The best ratio of flame-retardant (DBDPE/ Sb2O5) and stiffness agent (6310/618) is 4:5. The effects on polyester Venetian blinds stiffness and flame-retardant performance of such process parameters as the squeezer pressure , curing temperature and curing time are discussed. And using orthogonal experiment methods, the stiffness and flame-retardant finishing process parameters of the polyester Venetian blinds are optimized. The optimal finishing process parameters are as follows: the squeezer pressure is 1 kg/cm2, curing temperature is 160℃, and the curing time is 90 seconds.
