For middle-aged city women, most of who have stable and mature careers, a great demand ofsuits and occupational dress needs to be satisfied. But it is hard for them to buy suitable clothingproducts because of varieties of body shape. Therefore, aimed at this present situation, this paper hadmiddle-aged fat women whose ages were between forty five and fifty five years old in Jiangxiprovince as investigated subjects, studying on related body shape analysis and structure modificationfor specific-shaped women with specific ages in the specific region. This paper aimed at enrichingand expanding regional system of middle-aged theories, guiding regional clothing market allocationand providing a reference to design, pattern making and structure research for specific-shapedclothing.Currently, most structure modification researches are accomplished with methods of patterncutting and draping on mannequin, the manipulation is onerous, and it is inconvenient for immediateeffect observation of modified structures, it is also hard to amend once the shape has been fixedbecause it needs repeated pattern making and clothing making, which costs much time and manuallabour. Based on3D human body models, PGM three dimensional human body fitting system canprovide a more intuitive understanding of influence of structure modification on clothing wearingeffects through two dimensional pattern making and retouching and three dimensional analogsimulation. Therefore, this paper is expected to provide a new thought and method for clothingdesign and modification.Based on statistical analysis system and PGM three dimensional human body fitting system, theresearch studied on relationships between human body and clothing. This paper analyzed features offat women body shape and integrated degree of correlation, impact factors of each independentvariable factor, human body models were established according to statistical analysis results, suitswere tried on experimentally, clothing design was amended targetedly according to the fitting effect.The research measured sizes of different parts of body of middle-aged fat women whose ages werebetween forty five and fifty five years old in Jiangxi province, and established related data set,among which the unusual data were screened using SPSS statistical analysis system, analyzing the distribution trend of the data set, and a deeper analysis was done according to former tested results.The research mainly involved correlation analysis and regression analysis, and obtained degreeof correlation of each sample measurement item ultimately and twelve equations of linear regressionabout body height and chest measurement. At the same time, the investigated subjects were dividedinto different age groups, factor analysis were done among them respectively, and the variationtendency and cumulative contribution rate of factors were obtained, and ultimately eight mainfactors were selected as characteristic index for body shape of middle-aged fat women in Jiangxiprovince. The cumulative contribution rates of different factors were all beyond75%, the changesof fat women body shape with related ages were obtained through analysis of the difference of eachfactor. Through the calculation of four habitus index of the investigated subjects, the generalcharacteristics of body shape of middle-aged fat women in Jiangxi province were obtained. Sizes ofmain control points were compared with standardizing sized women respectively, analyzing thecharacteristics of body shape of the fat women in this area.Through the above analysis, the characteristics of body shape of the fat women and main sizesof intermediate control parts were determined. Human body model of middle-aged fat women wasestablished according to the data set. The effects of middle-aged fat women wearing suits werecompared with that of the standardizing sized women with the same body height through PGM threedimensional human body fitting system, analyzing the wearing disadvantages of middle-aged fatwomen and coming up with related methods of structure modification. Two dimensional structuremodification was performed using PGM system, and then put the modified clothing pieces into thethree dimensional interface to make fitting confirmation. The main factors that influence the wearingfitness of middle-aged fat women from the aspect of structure were concluded, combining with shellfabric, colours and styles together, coming up with a better design method from the aspect ofaesthetic cultivation. |
