| This paper is aimed to study women's body shape and the structures of women's close-fitting underwear, besides, to explore the technical routes and methods of realizing the virtual design of underwear patterns.Based on the body measurements and body shape analysis, the fuzzy optimization model is for the first time to be introduced into the evaluation of women's body shape. The main parameters of bodice prototype are drawn from the statistical analysis of body measurements, thus the construction of bodice prototype is established. Meanwhile, the construction theory of the basic bra cup is explored. With the advanced geometric modeling technique, the interactive design of both bodice prototype amd patterns of bra cup are realized with the application of Visual C++ and OpenGL.The main results of this research are listed as follows:1. Based on the body measurements taken on the random sampling, the relations of women's body shape and body height, and the differences of body shape in terms of three areas, i.e. North China, East China and South China, are studied. Besides, the numerical model of women's torso is established.2. The fuzzy optimization model is for the first time introduced into the analysis and evaluation of body shape. After the comparison with the ideal body proportion, the optimization degrees of the body shapes in North China, East China, and South China are 0.975, 0.976 and 0.864 respectively. Thus the conclusion is that women in East China have the best body shape proportions.3. With SAS statistical analysis, 12 parameters of body shape are drawn for the bodice prototype, which can be used as the basic pattern of close-fitting garments. The construction of the prototype suitable for Chinese women is established. Meanwhile, the rules of making the patterns for bra cup based on bodice prototype are explored4. By the Visual C++6.0 programming language and the OpenGL software, with the Bezier curve and parameter transfer technique, the interactive design systems ofbodice prototype and basic pattern of bra cup are established. The system simplifies the algorithm of pattern design and can make patterns according to the individual measurements, which makes people easy to operate and design. 5. The algorithm of 3D modeling of bra cup by NURBS technique is studied. The model of cup surface is based on the virtual human body model from 3D body scanner,.. after the transform of body data formats and the NURBS modeling, the visualization interactive design of 3D bra cup are achieved. Besides, the bra is made according to the default of pattern parameter, compared with the virtual bra cup, it is found that the system functions well and can realize the virtual design of 3D bra cup. |
