Good plate shape as an important index that measures the quality of the board strips is, not only the universal demand of users but also the prerequisite that producers guarantee subsequent processing smoothly. With the reform and openness, our country’s industry has developed rapidly. Especially in China’s automobile industries, the demand to all sorts of board strips has increased dramatically. Cold rolled strips are the industrial products that have the important significance to our national economy, and the production scale of cold rolled strips represents a national industrial development level, so how to improve the processing quality of the board strips and how to improve the shape defects are particularly important.Stretch bending straighter, is as a kind of special metallurgy equipment that improves of the plate shape, because of its good straightening effect, to a great extent, improve the quality of the board strips, productivity and economic benefits. In the modern production practices, it has a wide range of applications, and is the indispensable processing equipment especially in the processing of thin strips. But because our straightening technology falls behind, we still cannot reach that kind of production and processing level of the world developed countries. In the country there is not a systematic or perfect theory to guide the production practice, but the most is that the workers make adjustment according to their experience and the working condition. So the working efficiency is very low, and the quality of board strips is not guaranteed.This article analyses the theory of the non-ferrous metal plate strips, and describes the process of straightening deformation and the offset of neutral layer. As the "two bending" for a research focus, it analyses the change of stress and strain about the first positive bending and opposite bending. Combined with the influence of shape defects, remaining bending curvature and the loss of tension, we obtains the important elongation parameter, and sum up the elongation formula. At last, we analyse the tension, wrap angle and rolling reduction parameters that influence the effects of the straightening. It provides the theory basis for the design of stretch bending straightening machine and the adjustment of the machine installation.
