Research On British Fashion Designers’ Training Mechanism

Fashion designers are the core and soul of one country’s fashion industry.There are manyfamous fashion and art universities and innovative designers in England. The emergence of thoseBritish fashion designers created a fashion trend. Research on British fashion designers’ trainingmechanism can not only help to understand fashion designers’ training history and trainingcontent, but also has considerable significance for the development of today’s chinese fashiondesigners.Based on the review of British fashion designer’s appearance from the historical and culturalbackground, this paper describes the emergence and the development of British fashiondesigners, then introduces the two training mechanisms of British fashion designer’s:apprenticeship and college training. Then this paper analyzes the development process andconstructed factors of apprenticeship and college training, the course offering of the Britishfashion colleges, as well as the influencial factors. At last, this paper would propose a littleadvice on the development of chinese fashion designer’s training.
