There are many problems that urgently needs to be solved, mainly for three of the key issues:calculation of chip removal air volume; drill frame static, dynamic analysis and optimization design of the location of the hinge point of the drill frame; the software system of the overall design of the rotary drill. Through the analysis of the problems in the current design, the above studies are not perfect, it is necessary to do some research on the three questions.The chip removal air volume has a significant impact on the perforation speed,bit life and other many aspects.Based on gas-solid two-phase flow theory and the principle of energy, and in the representative mine, to sample rig rock debris discharged in the work project, to measure physical properties, and based on relationshipthe of particle rise velocity, suspension velocity and flow velocity, with reference to the suspension speed of particles between particle groups and drilling theory, given the formula of the chip removal air volume; compare the values by calculating for the prototype the chip removal air volume to the ones the recommended formula theory of drilling calculating and experimental results. In the design; suggest to make the formula deduced by calculation of chip removal air volume be given priority to, formula recommended by drilling theory calculation type as services.In the drill frame statics analysis, choose5kinds of typical working conditions,use finite element software to establish drill frame finite element model as space rigid frame structure,and take drill frame for the overall stress analysis and strength, stiffness, stability check. Therefore determine the most unfavorable calculation condition for reducing the amount of calculation in the design; On this basis, the drill frame dynamics analysis provides a basis for determining the dynamic load coefficient; Using goal programming (multi-objective optimization design method), from two dangerous working conditions of drill (lifting of non-work status drilling conditions and stucking of work status drilling conditions), to start the optimization of the above locations and findan optimal location of the program. So that make maximum stress, maximum displacement of the drill frame, back lever stability and other sub-objective function get the most reasonable as the extent possible and improve the stress state of the drill frameTaking MATLAB R2011a as platform and using GUI visualization technology, develope human-computer interaction interface. Software has the advantages of safety, integration, inheritance, fault tolerance, data consistency, reliable operation and easy maintenance etc. The functions of software system includes:according to the different project to caculate design overall parameters, calculating and designing each working device, analysing large structural strength, stiffness, modal analysis, dynamic analysis and auxiliary function of the system(such as the user information security protection and management system, intelligent printing, interactive document storaging, network connecting, some custom user interface design method connecting etc.), it can make overall design of realize the automation, scientification, shorten the design cycle and improve designing efficiency.In summary, the work of the overall design of the rotary drill is ground-breaking, it creating a good start for the formation of the independent design of the rotary drill system.
