Arm is the main construction unit in Drill Jumbo. It is necessary to carry out the various research of Drill Dumbo’s arm, so as to realize the control of its positioning, movement and drilling.The specific work is as follows:Firstly combined with learned knowledge and the problem of Drill Jumbo Atlas353E in the practical use.The three-dimensional model of Drill Jumbo’s left arm is established by using of SolidWorks software. Kinematics equations are created by the using of the D-H method. Get the working space of Drill Jumbo’s arm by the using of MATLAB software and kinematics equations. Then kinematics inverse solution method is analyed. The analysis of the Drill Jumbo’s arm on kinematics research helps to control intelligently and positioning rapidly and accurately.Secondly use the ADAMS software to establish the virtual prototype of Drill Jumbo’s arm and simulate the special movement conditions in the actual working process. Simulate the work process, generate motion animation and show the the dynamic performance of the product. Measure the motion and force of related key cylinder and hinged point change with time. These result provide the references to the possible movement interference, dynamics performance, strength, stiffness, and other issues.Finally simulate left arm positive drilling process, draw trajectory, generate motion animation and get positive drilling work scope. Combined with the trajectory of the lifting mechanism of Drill Jumbo’s arm, get total positive scope of three drilling arm.
