The manufacture of artificial wood panel is one of the emerging industries. Because of the character of this industry, the process of producing relate to many combustible and explosive and poisonous substance, moreover, there are many great equiments and the work condition is very complex, so there is a very big probability that some accidents will happen. It is necessary for artificial wood panel plants to implement risk assessment for themselves. So it is very important to study all kinds of methods for risk assessment, that is the content of this thesis. This paper first identifies and analysises the major hazard of artificial wood panel enterprise combined on the reality of Shenyang Tiande Artificial wood panel factory, checks the hidden danger in order to prevent and control the important points of the hazard. Using Safety Checklisr and PHA, this paper analysis some installations which will cause major hazard and finds the possible reasons and fluenting range and dangerous degree and some preventing methods about leaking, fire and explosion. At the same time, on the basis of hards identification and risk analysis for artificial wood panel plant, setting up a model of system risk assessment for such plant. This index architecure can reflect the real safety status well. Then, using the model of consequence evaluation, we know the risk and the fluenting range of accidents. Ones the system of Formaldehyde storing leaking, the people should be evacuated1km away from the surroundings of the plant. Also, this paper points out the shortage and problems in the existing safety management methods, and makes some useful suggestions in controlling the consequence of the accident and reducing people dying before the factory transferring.
