China has wealthy heavy oil resources, the proved reserves are8billion tons. Because ofthe high viscosity, density and bad mobility characters resulted by cast colloid and asphaltenein heavy oil, the gathering processing technology is more complicated than others. In order todevelop the huge potential of large-scale heavy oil resources, it is necessary to seek a reliable,economical and effective way to transport it.In this paper, We compared the advantages and disadvantages of several heavy oiltransportation modes, and used the Henan Gu Cheng Oil Field’s heavy as an research object.By analyzing the experimental data of sample indoor rheological property, thinks that theviscosity of heavy oil mixed with water transportation has certain advantages. And found therheological law of heavy oil and its oil-water mixture below:1.Under different temperatures, the phase inversion point of oil-water mixtures arebasically same. Before the phase inversion point, The dynamic viscosity of oil samplesincrease with increasing moisture content; after the phase inversion point, the dynamicviscosity of oil samples decrease with increasing moisture content, which has logarithmicrelations between them. The software to returned the moisture content and temperatureinfluence on the viscosity of composite relation, which can be used for hydraulic calculationof pipelines in oil fields.2.Under lower water content, kinematic viscosity is strongly affected by temperatures.Economic effect can be improved by raising temperature to reduce the viscosity of the oil andthen to reduce the flow resistance. Under higher water content, the dynamic viscosity isalmost independent from temperature. At this moment, the increasing of temperature has littlefunctions on reducing viscosity and dragging resistance.3.The viscosity of oil-water mixture reduces remarkably when adding demulsifies withthe viscosity reduction rate of55%. If using this technology, which not only saves theirtransmission energy and investment but also increases the transmission benefits.By researching the oil sample of laboratory test data, I establishes the mathematicalmodel of water transport which can be used for Henan Gu Cheng Oil Field to calculate itstemperatures of the oil-water mixture, the water pipeline in the wellhead, the return oil, and the wellhead back pressure, heat loss costs and power loss costs etc. To achieve the best oilsample transport moisture. Finally, the paper compares the model results with field test data,proved the result consistent with the theoretical analysis: heavy oil moisture content reachesabout53%,the transportation pressure drop reduces greatly. When wellhead back pressure isless than1.0MPa,it can ensure normal production of wells and stations and reduce the cost ofheavy oil-water viscosity transmission method.
