In the production of asphalt through crude oil refining, with serious refinery devicecorrosion problems, corrosion was mainly caused by the acid and salt consisting in thecrude oil. Crude oil corrosion during the refining process threatens the safety and servicelife of the oil refining equipment.In this paper, take Qinhuangdao PetroChina Fuel&Asphalt Co., Ltd as an example forcorrosion and anticorrosion analysis, as Qinhuangdao company using Merey-16crude oiland Boscan crude oil of Venezuelan for asphalt production, by analyzing the oil property,refining technology and processes of the two types of crude oil, the paper pointed that thekind of high acid crude oil processing corrosion of crude oil distillation unit, that is mainlycaused by the high temperature corrosion of acid corrosion; low temperature corrosion ismainly caused by salt corrosion. Further studies suggest that the main cause of lowtemperature and high temperature parts of the site corrosion damage occurred in recentyears is due to the poor quality of domestic processing of imported crude oil caused moreand more, that high sulfur content and high naphthenic crude oil.Finally, based on safety considerations and refining equipment and equipmentmaintenance and other aspects of life, the paper pointed out that improvements should befrom the refinery process, the selection of the new anti-corrosion materials, adopting thereal-time corrosion monitoring devices for crude oil distillation refinery corrosion.
