With the growing demand for the oil in our country and the development of offshore oilexploration technology, major oil companies speed up the steps of exploiting offshore oil andthe equipments for exploiting offshore oil have been advanced at express speed as aconsequence. The major oil production areas in China are in the offshore location and thecombination of fixed platform and module drilling rig has obvious economic advantages onmultiple oilfield exploitation, so using module drilling rig to exploit offshore oil has a certaindevelopment prospects and making ocean drilling rig movable can realize the maximizationof benefits on drilling rig. This paper focuses on the research of modular design method forfixed offshore drilling rig with reference to the method for modular division of the traditionalmechanical products. This paper mainly involves:Firstly, I analyzed the existing scheme for dividing the Marine module drilling rig andrelated module structure features and determined the mobile ocean drilling rig modulepartition solution based on the current domestic engineering needs. I raised principles ofmodule division based on process restriction, analyzed related attributes which affect themobility of offshore rig and method to select the specific research object.Secondly, I analyzed the module partition method for common mechanical product,established a mathematical model based on mobile marine drilling rig module partition,determined the solution to implement module partition using grouping genetic algorithm,programmed module partition software using GUI in MATLAB and make a brief introductionto relevant calculation parameter setting.Then, I used7000m offshore drill as an example, worked out the solution for moduledivision, determined secondary module partitioning with500tons of weight for the limitaccording to the marine floating crane lifting capacity of our country and analyzed therationality of the module partition scheme. Finally, I elaborated the detailed design issues needed to be taken into consideration inocean rig modular design, used mud processing module as an example, designed the modularstructure and analyzed the structure according to the module partition scheme of7000moffshore drill.I combined the qualitative analysis with quantitative analysis, established themathematical model of module division and solved the objective function using groupinggenetic algorithm. I worked out the module partition scheme for7000m mobile offshore drillbased on instance analysis, analyzed the rationality of the partition scheme and gave someadvice on the research direction of this project.
