Risk Assessment On Well Integrity Of Iran SP11Block

In recent years, lots of disasters happened in oil and gas development industry, whichdraws people’s attention to the well integrity study. Though the well integrity is just a newlypublished concept, the importance behind this word can not be ignored.In this paper, the author analyzed the study work of well integrity both from domesticand foreign experts. Based on this analysis, the author investigated the factors which maythreat to the well integrity, and figured out the mechanism of these factors for a further work.A well integrity scenario of whole life of a well was studied, and it seemed that in differentperiod of the well’s life, it occurred different well integrity failure.In this paper, another significant work is the attempt to find a new way for well integritymanagement. So several different risk management methods were studied and a new set ofwell integrity risk evaluation model was established. The functions of this model includeinformation collecting, threat factor identifying, severity and probability evaluating, and risklevel ranking.To testify this model, a database of SP11block, Iran was introduced for well integrityassessment. The evaluation result shows that this model is accurate and practical.
