Mine-uesd emulsion pump is the power source for support equipment in fully mechanized face, the mechanical energy of the motor is converted into the hydraulic energy of emulsion pump by it, and hydrulic support is moved quickly, so the reliability and stability of hydraulic support are affected greatly by its performance. Volumetric efficiency is regarded as an important indicator to measure the performance of emulsion pump, and National Ministry of Coal Industry has a strict regulations about volumetric efficiency of emulsion pump:if its nominal pressure is more than40Mpa, its volumetric effciency must not be less than88%; the nominal pressure is higher, and the volumetric is smaller. With the development of hydraulic support in fully mechanized face, the mine-used emulsion pump also continued to emerge, especially the flow and pressure of emulsion pump is increasing quickly. Therefore, researching and improving volumetric efficiency of emulsion pump is very important.Based on the conditions and working principle of emulsion pump, the structure and movement of emulsion pump were analyzed. By calculating the flow of emulsion pump, and calculation method of volumetric efficiency of emulsion pump was duduced. Laid a theoretical foundation for further study volumetric efficiency of emulsion pump and its influencing factors, to identify ways to improve the volumetric efficiency. By analyzing influencing factors of volumetric efficiency of emulsion pump, and combined with experimental verification, the veriation law of system pressure, crankshaft speed and volumetric efficiency was obtained. Proposed a design concept for less crank and more plunger. Validated for specific examples, and the results showed that the proposed theory is reasonable and feasible. Considered the hystersis of suction, discharge vavle is one of the important causes of volume loss, and a design method of the novel suction discharge vavle was introduced, the hystersis of suction discharge vavle was avoided effectively by it. By studying this topic, it can provide the theoretical basis for the development and design of large displacement, high pressure emulsion pump.
