Yayoi Kusama Artistic Style In The Application Of The Women’s Clothing Design

Yayoi Kusama is a famous Japanese artist. She is known for her design—dot, which essential characteristic is the "pop art style". Her most representative work is full of dot. She broke the Japanese previous design patterns that designing on the pursuit of simple、elegant and drab conservative style. Until now her unique form have provided inspiration for the young fashion designers, and affected the public’s daily dress up. In my paper, I prefer to start from the analysis of Yayoi Kusama’ s design style, and then combined with pop art style, in order to get inspired to my design work of women’s clothing and reach mutual combination of modern style. My work would like to be hope that conforming to contemporary aesthetic temperament and interest, and can reflect the continuing vitality of the pop art and provide more reference for the development of modern garment design into specific cultural connotation.
