Construction Of Home Survival Philosophy

Global ecological crisis has showed the unsustainability of traditional industrialcivilization clearly. People have given a lot of technical solutions on improving theenvironment and regulating the relationship between man and nature to face thedilemma of existence. Then people turn to Ecological Civilization, which isconsidered to be a more advanced form of civilization of mankind following theIndustrial Civilization. However, decades of environmental science research andenvironmental protection in the course of Ecological Civilization have failed to curbthe increasingly grave ecological crisis. Therefore, we should reverse the mind andconsciousness of human, remedy people’s attitude and behavior, reconstruct therelations between the human and the nature, people and society, body and mind byre-examining the philosophical meaning of Ecological Civilization and constructing anew idea and concept of the survival philosophy. This maybe provide the premise ofhelping people out of “Crisis”.This paper is conducted according to the following thoughts: Above all, I discussmodern Ecological Civilization by analysing the basic ideas and philosophicalimplications of Ecological Civilization. I not only absorb and integrate its essence, butpoint out its limitations and shortcomings, including obvious economic tendency, thelack of cultural implication and ultimate concern charisma, conditional unity ofsubject and object, instrumental rationality of science and technology as well asneglected "self-realization". In the next place, I present and explain Home SurvivalPhilosophy. Firstly, The concept of "Home" is a combination of software andhardware, including the attribute of ecological, the attribute of consciousness, theattribute of individual and the attribute of society. Secondly, The meaning of HomeSurvival Philosophy includes three levels, namely: human’s existence in Home,human accepting their responsibilities and taking action, huamn making theconsciousness and awareness of Home be their own. Thirdly, the deep philosophicalimplication of Home Survival Philosophy includes the organic unity of subject andobject, the complementary unity of science and humanities, transcendent view ofnature doctrine, orderly flow concept of time, the view of humanity of highlightingcreation, life attitude of “Poetical Dwelling”, etc. Finally, I summarize the actual paths to realize Home Survival Philosophy. These basic but very important aspects whichguide people to improve awareness and make self-regulation include exceedingModern Philosophy, absorbing the essence of Chinese ancient civilization, promotingscience more personalized, abandoning materialism reasonably, creating HomeCulture.
