| Compared with the common rubber tires, PU solid tires have better performance onwearability and tear resistance. Besides, its processing technologies are more simple andgreen. As a result, the PU solid tires’ market is expanding quickly these years, especially usedin heavy-load vehicles worked in factory workshops, mine areas, ports and so on. As a typicalmaterial of polymer, the PU solid tires have a large inner heat source due to its mechanicalhysteresis, and this may cause a thermal destruction for the heat can not diffuse in time in alow material thermal conductivity. So, studies on the issues of how to design a effectiveradiating holes and what influences of these holes bring in are meaningful and valuable.Testings on material’s properties can offer basic data for tire’s analysis. In this paper, thestress-strain curve and damping-factor-tempreature curve are established by specificinstruments, which reveal the deep mechanism of PU solid tire’s mechanical and thermalperformance. In the field of tire’s temperature study, the finite element method(FEM) has a advantageof three dimensional display for tire’s temperature field, while the mileage test can provideaccurate value of temperature on specified points. In this paper, both of the two methods areused. The studies show that radiating holes on tire’s side face may cause temperature risedue to the decrease of tire material when holes are introduced, the result is that tire’s unitvolume material bears more load and generates more heat. As the stress-strain field changed, the temperature distribution in tire changed too. Furthermore, the finite element analysis ontire’s stiffness shows that radiating holes cut down the tire’s radius and tangential stiffness atthe same time, which offer a new way for analysis on radiating hole.At last, a secondary development on Abaqus based on the language of Python is carriedout, and a graphical user interface is established aim to simplify the PU solid tire’s finiteelement analysis. As soon as uses input the tire’s related properties and state values, the GUIwill generate corresponding model automatically. |
